how you can delete your data from our app.
Delete Data Within the App
What You Can Delete In-App:
- Individual expenses: Delete any expense you've created
- Group transactions: Remove specific transactions from groups
- Group data: Leave or delete entire groups you've created
How to Delete Data in the App:
- Open the Dividely app on your device
- Navigate to the expense, transaction, or group you want to delete
- Tap the delete or remove option (usually a trash icon or menu option)
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Delete Your Account and All Data
If you want to permanently delete your entire account and all associated data, please follow these
steps:
Account Deletion Process:
- Send an email to inquiry@dividely.app
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your Dividely account
- We will verify your request and respond within 14 days
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we will permanently remove:
- Your name and email address
- All expenses and transactions you've created
- All group memberships and contributions
- Device and usage information
- All other personal data associated with your account
Important: Certain data may need to be retained to comply with legal obligations or
resolve disputes. We will inform you if this applies to your request.
Data Retention
Once your account is deleted:
- Personal data is removed from our active systems within 30 days
- Backup copies are purged during our regular backup cycles
- Some anonymized analytics data may be retained for service improvement
